I’m Rick Parker, and I’m passionate about helping people and businesses thrive in the digital world. By blending creativity, technology, and years of hands-on experience, I aim to simplify challenges and provide practical solutions. Whether it’s streamlining processes, boosting online visibility, or sharing stories through compelling websites, I’ve spent my career crafting solutions that work and make a real difference.
Early Days
I started my career with Deloitte in Manchester, where I spent 11 years learning the ropes in various roles like the Print Room, General Office, and Facilities Management. During this time, I discovered my knack for using technology to make everyday tasks faster and easier—helping the team get more done with less hassle.
After Deloitte, I joined the Ministry of Justice for a year in their Finance Department. Their systems were a bit old-fashioned, which made everything take longer than it should. Using my tech skills, I managed to streamline one of the most time-consuming tasks and cut the effort by half—a win for everyone involved!
A Love for Music and Digital Creativity
Alongside my day jobs, I had another big passion: being a DJ. For years, I honed my craft and learned how to promote myself. Back then, platforms like MySpace were all the rage, and later came Facebook and Instagram. I had to figure out how to build a website, upload my mixes, and share them with people around the world. This opened up amazing opportunities—I’ve DJ’d in Bisbee, Arizona; on the cruise ship Allure of the Seas; and even at the top of a mountain in Saalbach, Austria. It’s been an incredible journey, and it all started with a simple website and a bit of determination.
My Digital Marketing Journey
Eventually, I took my tech and creative skills into the world of digital marketing. I joined Adventure Leisure Vehicles, a Caravan and Motorhome dealership in Tebay, Cumbria. Initially, I was brought on to handle their social media, but my role grew quickly. Over eight years, I became their Digital Marketing Manager, running their main website and two smaller ones, keeping everything updated, and making sure stock was showcased properly. I also designed printed materials, organised stands for trade shows, and represented the business at these events. Oh, and if anyone needed help with their phone or laptop, I was the go-to person for IT support!
Home, Travel & Hobbies
These days, I’m based in Ellel, Lancaster, on a small holding with my husband, Jonathan, where we keep chickens and bees. We even have a website to promote the honey we sell, which has boosted both sales and awareness. Ellel is a beautiful place that feels like home, but my love of travel keeps me moving—exploring new cultures and meeting amazing people. Another passion of mine is photography, especially capturing wildlife in its natural habitat. Scuba diving is one of my favourite ways to unwind and discover a completely different world. Jonathan and I have had some unforgettable underwater adventures, and we’re always looking forward to the next one.

Now, I use all my experience and skills to help small independent businesses navigate the digital world. Whether it’s creating a website, improving online content, or linking social media channels, I bring fresh ideas and practical solutions to make their lives easier.
